Zagreb Wine Gourmet Weekend (ZWGW) 2012 je završio. Dok su dojmovi svježi, a slike žive, najbolje je odmah to poredati u niz…

Karavana od dva vinskoprička istražitelja (tko je glava, a tko rep?) uputila se u weekend avanturu i prateći plan (bili smo u timingu!) stižemo taman na vrijeme, da prije projekcije filma (da, obilazak sajma vina počinje se odlaskom u kino!) marendamo. A marenda je krenula sjajno: janjeća pljeska sa kajmakom uz Tomac Classic (novi, još nije na tržištu). Primjer neobičnog, ali odličnog sljubljivanja i mudre pripreme za degustacije koje slijede.

Moralno ohrabreni, u izuzetno mirnoj atmosferi odgledasmo dokumentarni film Life on the Douro,  koji nam služi kao podloga Masterclassu: Graham’s Porto s Dominicom Symingtonom. Svaka pohvala organizatoru na ovakvoj, temeljitoj pripremi!

Puni novih saznanja o portu selimo se iz Kaptol centra u Gliptoteku, u kojoj je izložbeni dio festivala. I na samom startu kreću neredi…

Izložbeni prostor je odličan a atmosfera nekako ‘cool’. Puno poznatih i dragih ljudi…

Sutradan se pohod nastavlja najprije edukacijom mlađe generacije. Pritom imamo sreće opet probati Kutjevo arhivsku graševinu iz 1963. Vino staro 49 godina je u fantastičnoj kondiciji!

A onda Chateau Palmer Masterclass kojeg vodi Bernnard de Laage de Meux. To je bila ponovna prilika za ‘nevjernike’ poput mene u savladavanju pojma Bordeaux. Iskustvo je fantastično. Srećom (po njih), dosta je ljudi shvatilo da je to ‘prilika koja se ne propušta’ i ‘tražilo se mjesto više’.

Još pomalo zbunjeni nevjerojatnim šampanjcima napuštamo festival i odlazimo u privatni restaurant ‘Kod Pretedenta,’ na specijalitet kuće, ‘eksplodirajuću tunu sljubljenu s hruskavim brancinom’. I opet (naizgled) otkačeni primjer sljubljivanja: tuna-brancin i izvrsni Coronica Gran teran 2008!
